PREPARATION ROUTINE
General warning: avoid ALL wildcard characters in the names of files, folders and courses. In a web environment they often produce strange results and errors. So avoid: *#&+/\%[] ' etc.

1. Make new yellow folder for COURSE NAME.

2. Inside this, make new yellow folders for separate CHAPTERS.

3. Collect COPIES of key documents into the CHAPTER structure.
Use Copy and Paste - do NOT use Drag 'n' Drop

4. Process any you can to html - discard the originals.
UNIT 10 (File>Save As Web Page)

5. Transfer prepare folder to the VLE.
UNIT 8

6. Distribute documents across COURSE STRUCTURE.
UNIT 8

For large content schools must adopt a bit of a work-around using drag and drop:
a) Start a yellow folder (in My Documents, say) named for the course.
b) Add a yellow folder for Chapter 1 and add materials to it
c) Drag the top level yellow folder to the bottom Java window (in Expert mode) - click Upload and wait for transfer
d) Drag content out of the bottom window into Chapter 1 of a prepared course structure (top window in Expert mode)
e) Return to Step b) above by adding Chapter 2 yellow folder plus materials into the main course folder; use step c) to take the entire course folder to the bottom Java window - materials previously uploaded for Chapter 1) will be ignored and only new materials will transfer; distribute the new materials to Chapter 2 (top Java window)
f) Repeat for Chapter 3, 4 etc.
