There are several kinds of simple quiz Assessments ( (eg missing words, multiple choice - all devised locally by the teacher) built into Learning Platform. Schools will also be able to buy more sophisticated tests (ie norm referenced, reliable, valid, predictive, standardised).

The basic Assessments include:

• Multiple Choice (single answer and multiple answer)

• Fill in the Blanks (Cloze procedure)

• Model Answers

• Submitted Assessment

• Off-line Assessment

The first 2 are marked automatically; the third is partially automated (key words selected by teacher are searched for); the last two have to be marked by the teacher.

To use a quiz you must:

• Author the quiz

• Insert the quiz into your Course structure

To Author a quiz click the quiz type and follow the screen instructions. For each one you can:

• Author a completely new quiz set

• Edit quiz and question labels

• Add new questions to existing sets

• Try out your quiz

To insert a quiz into your Course, follow the normal procedures until you reach the Files store - then use the drop-down menu to select the type of quiz you authored.

Select your quiz from the list offered and remember to tag your quiz with the Assessment icon before clicking .
