Why can't students see my course?

 

Have you Subscribed them to the course?
Is the course Live?

How do I set a temporary password?

  PIM > Admin > User Management > Passwords.
Find the student (or teacher) ID on the alphabet lists and click Edit to set a temporary password.

How do I Unsubscribe a class from a course?

 

You can Copy the course and the delete the original - all content and quizzes are preserved in the copy, but students links (and Learning Log records) are destroyed.
You might want to Export the Learning Log to Assessment Manager first.

What do I do if class lists are wrong in the VLE?

  Get the lists sorted out in the SIMS office - the next data upload will synchronise changes.

Why do I keep getting emails from admin@simslearning.co.uk?

The VLE sends automatic emails when a student sends in a Submitted Assessment (one to the student and one to the teacher); it also sends an automatic email when you Unsubscribe a student from a course.

If these are getting in the way of your other work emails you can set up a rule in Outlook to divert VLE emails to a side folder - use Right Click > Save Target As here to save a copy of the instructions.
