A Course is a combination of some Content and some of the inbuilt features of Learning Platform such as Quizzes or Collaboration Tools (bulletin board forums, chat or email). Eventually, student work (along with teacher comment and grades) will build up in the Learning Log (an electronic mark book) to become an extra essential ingredient.

A Course can be as simple as a link to a favoured web site plus a quiz or forum discussion about it. Or it can be a range of Content and activity needing several weeks to complete.

DPlanning is the key to efficient use of the Learning Platform and much of the work needed will be done away from the Internet in your normal preparation time. Essential planning and preparation advice is given here.

KFinally you need to understand how to Link Students to Courses - a key feature of the Learning Platform is that students see only the Courses allocated to them by teachers.
